Following consultation by NHS County Durham, it was evident that people were often unsure what to do when they were unwell and were also unaware of what help was available regarding transport to attend non-emergency hospital and medical appointments.
As a result the NHS has launched an 18 month campaign aimed at getting key health messages out to members of the public to help them better understand how to access the most appropriate care when they need it.
The poster below provides information on “what to do when unwell” and helps residents understand how to access the most appropriate care when they need it.
The leaflet below on NHS funded transport provides information on transport options that are available to attend non emergency hospital or medical appointments.
