The next East Durham AAP Board Meeting will take place on Wednesday 8 February at 6pm at The Glebe Centre, Murton.

- Fun & Food Funding – Easter Holidays 2023
Funding is available for activities for children, young people and families during the Easter Holidays 2023. The scheme aims to support local community groups and organisations based in the East Durham AAP area to deliver enriching holiday activities during the Easter Holidays 2023, including healthy food. Please note that we cannot fund individuals or profit-making organisations.
Applicants can apply for amounts over £500.
Applicants must provide a healthy meal; breakfast, lunch or tea, as part of the activity that aims to meet Food Safety Requirements.

- Free February Half Term Event for Young People in East Durham
Free February Half Term event for young people aged 11 plus who live in East Durham. Share your views on youth work provision in the area.
The event will take place on Friday 24 February, 11am – 3pm, at East Durham College, Peterlee, SR8 2RN.

- North East Ambulance Service Volunteering Opportunities – Community First Responders
The North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is currently trying to recruit Community First Responders – specifically in Shotton, Haswell and the Blackhall/Crimdon areas – who are trained and equipped to respond to emergencies in their local area.
When every second counts, they can be the first person on scene to provide assessment, treatment or even just support whilst the ambulance is travelling. More information about the role can be found on the website:

- Fearless – County Durham
Fearless is the youth service of the independent charity CrimeStoppers. Fearless aims to break down barriers that might prevent young people reporting crime.

- Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for Dog Ownership Consultation
People are being invited to have their say on a review of dog control measures in County Durham.
Durham County Council introduced a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for Dog Control in 2017 in response to community concerns about irresponsible dog ownership.
The PSPO, which gives the council powers to issue fines for offences such as dog fouling and allowing a dog to stray, is due for renewal in May. Therefore, the council is seeking views on proposals to add a number of further offences to the order, which would apply across the county
